In November 2013 I showed at MADE 13, Brighton's contemporary craft fair. The fair was a great event to participate in, with some innovative work from makers from around the country on show. I was approached by Jo Hall, editor of Embroidery magazine, and an article about my work was publised in September 2014
4I exhibited at The Gloobah Open House, run by Sandy Walsh, in May 2014, as part of Brighton's Artists' Open House festival. The House presented the work of a varied group of 13 artists and designers, working in jewellery, textiles, wire work, ceramics, photography, glass and paint. The House will be open again this year with some fantastic new artists, on weekends throughout May, 11am-6pm. Refreshments available.
In February I donated a painted whale tail to Whalefest 2015. This event took place in the Brighton Centre, with guest speakers, activities and displays designed to draw attention to whales and dolpins in captivity. 200 artists decorated tails, and these were later auctioned to raise money for the charity. My tail featured a shoal of herring, a common foodsource for orca.
