I work with paint and textile mixed-media to create layered, textured works inspired by landscape, weather, and found objects. Through intuitive mark-making and the reworking of surfaces, I explore natural processes of erosion, transformation, and memory, evoking the changing atmosphere and character of place.

My paintings draw upon observed and imagined shapes and forms found in the landscape, or on objects discovered in woods and by the sea: shells, stones, roots, shadows, and gaps. Lines of fenceposts, stubbly crop marks, and cracks in cliffs or walls all provide inspiration, as do the elemental forces of weather—wind, rain, sea spray, and shifting light—which shape the land and leave traces of change, erosion, and renewal.
